i have application diagnosis , should determine functional , nonfunctional requirement can me question please: language considered functional requirement?

a functional requirement defines software supposed do. non-functional requirement defines further expectations independent actual features.

ex: functional requirement = "software should square input value"

non-functional requirement = "software should use @ max 1mb memory"

note: not have "functional programming"
